VisNet® Detect Pro Updates – 10/09/2024

Discover the Latest Enhancements in Detect Pro

We are pleased to introduce the newest release of Detect Pro, featuring 41 updates, including 20 new features and 21 incremental improvements, all designed to elevate your user experience. These improvements are driven by Detect Pro user feedback ensuring that Detect Pro remains an invaluable tool for your needs.

New Features

Dashboard

  • Substation CSV download includes Substation Code field.
  • Substation names and filter titles are now presented in bold text.
  • Substation search included in Grid and Table views.
  • Page loader display is used instead of extended data retrieval pop-up.
  • Instrument online/offline status can be viewed by clicking the instruments count display.
  • App families have been reordered into a more logical order.
  • Removed non-essential fields from Quick View.
  • Sort results option is retained between sessions.
    • Table view is now an infinite scrolling list that pages data on demand.

Explore

  • Event Trending tab header is now between Events and Environmental tabs.
  • “Dashboard” link text has been renamed to “Home” for clearer intent.
  • Transformer asset will be deselected when Recloser is selected as an instrument.
  • Chart filenames match the chart title.
  • Fixed issue where sometimes charts would get stuck at “90 days” when other time periods were selected.
  • Recloser instruments have a new “Total Open Operations” field to show how many Reclose operations have occurred since installation.
  • Recloser does not show Signal Strength chart; Switch Temperature is displayed instead.
    • Event download filename contains timestamp and headers have reverted to the previous version of Detect Pro.
    • “Most Recent” time period has been renamed to “Last 5” to remove confusion.
  • Geographic data added to Substation display.

Incremental Improvements

Dashboard

  • Alarm grouping default settings now persists when set from Explore view.
  • Search/filer criteria remains in place when navigating from Grid or Table to Map view.
  • User will be correctly returned to the same view when navigating back from Explore
  • Search filters correctly filter substation lists and views.
  • Clearing filters will remove Licence Area filter.
  • Fixed issue causing occasional gaps to appear in CSV download.

Explore

  • Fixed issue where sometimes substation filters would show instead of chart filters.
  • Data point type selection will no longer return to default when time period is changed.
  • Tab list is now horizontally scrollable to enable use on smaller display screens such as mobile and tablet.
  • Filters drawer will no longer overlap with chart.
  • Fixed an issue where some charts would render multiple items at the same point in time.
  • When filtering an instrument, only data point types specific to that instrument type may be filtered.
  • Default data point type filter is applied when selecting VisNet Hub or Guard instrument types.
  • Loading indicator applied when loading data for charts.
  • Filtering phases is applied to chart legends and series.
  • Transformers ordered correctly in multi-transformer substations.
  • Removed additional square brackets from CSV download.
  • Recloser selection will only allow chart filtering for Recloser data point types.
    • Instrument selection filters event displays.
  • More than 10 instruments can now be shown for the same substation.
  • Email field allows inclusion of correct special characters for email address validation.
